The University of Montana Presents Hay Fever 11/30-12/11

The University of Montana School of Theatre & Dance is pleased to offer Hay Fever, a comic satire from one of England's most celebrated playwrights. Hay Fever runs in the Montana Theatre of the Performing Arts and Radio/Television Center on campus November 30-December 4 and December 7-11 at 7:30 p.m.

Welcome to the well-appointed country home of the Bliss family-British Bohemians with a funny way of showing affection to anyone other than themselves. In a whirlwind summer weekend, each of the four self-centered Bliss family members invites a special guest to the estate without knowing there will soon be a full house. The trouble is, none of them seems to care much about the company once they arrive. Coward's famously wicked wit and savvy skewering of the 1920s English leisure class are on display at a breakneck pace, leaving the audience breathless with laughter.

Hay Fever is directed by Assistant Professor John Kenneth DeBoer; the production team and cast run the gamut of experience. Those involved include first-semester freshmen, soon-to-graduate seniors, students in all three MFA programs offered by the School of Theatre & Dance, a Master of Music student, and faculty in both Theatre & Dance and Music. You won't want to miss the results of this wide-ranging collaboration.
