ANTIGONE is an ancient Greek play by Sophokles that depicts Antigone’s heroic public defiance of King Kreon’s tyrannical rule. This ever relevant play explores themes of love, family, loyalty, and civil disobedience.
ANTIGONICK is Carson’s brilliant translation of ANTIGONE. Her new title evokes the crucial timing of events, the “nick of time,” in the play.
ANTIGONICK will feature Oogie_Push, a citizen of the Meskwaki Nation, as Antigone, Rich Remedios as Kreon, Laila Sahir as Ismene, Sebastian Grim as Haimon, Sandy Agustin as Nick, with an excellent cast of 9 other professional actors.
