Tod Petersen will play Vice Principal Douglas Panch in Theater Latte Da's upcoming production of TH 25th ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE, running October 6 - 30, at the Ordway Center's McKnight Theatre. Peter Rothstein and Michael Matthew Ferrell will direct and choreograph, with music direction by Denise Prosek.

SPELLING BEE chronicles the experience of six adolescent overachievers vying for the spelling championship of a lifetime. The show's Tony Award-winning creative team has created the unlikeliest of hit musicals about the unlikeliest of heroes: a quirky, yet charming cast of outsiders for whom a spelling bee is the one place on earth where they can both stand out and fit in.

The design team will feature scenic designer Rick Polenek, costume designer Rich Hamson, and lighting designer Paul Whitaker. Additional casting will be announced.

Petersen has previously appeared in the company's productions of Parade, Gypsy, and A Christmas Carole Petersen.
