Theatre in the Round Players to Present THE MARRIAGE OF BETTE AND BOO, 10/10-11/2

By: Sep. 30, 2014
Theatre in the Round Players (TRP) presents The Marriage of Bette and Boo by Christopher Durang in weekend performances October 10 through November 2.

Bette and Boo never should have gotten married. Their son Matt narrates scenes of their bewildered attempts to provide a semblance of hearth and home -- all the while undermined by their own families, bereaved by miscarriages and alcoholism, and utterly mystified by their priest. A very black comedy, and hailed as the best play by one of theatre's leading satirists.

Randy Reyes directs the ten-member cast, with Pegeen Lamb and Sam Pearson in the title roles. Sets are designed by Eli Schlatter, costumes by Jenna Rose Graupmann, and lighting by Keli Huangzhen.

An audience discussion with members of the company will follow the matinee performance on Sunday, October 26.

Tickets are $22. For information, call the theatre's box office at 612-333-3010 or visit its website at www.TheatreintheRound.org.

Theatre in the Round's facilities are accessible for audience members using wheelchairs. Assisted-listening equipment is available for patrons with hearing impairments. Assisted-viewing service is offered for patrons with visual impairments on Sunday, October 26th.
