On Friday, November 5, Theatre Pro Rata will open Henry V by William Shakespeare and a special three performance remount of 44 Plays for 44 Presidents by Andy Bayiates et al. (Nov. 6-8) at the brand new Nimbus Theatre in Minneapolis.

Shortly after he becomes King Henry V, former playboy Prince Hal decides to prove his seriousness and increase his popularity with conquests abroad. Shakespeare's superb history play brings political intrigue and the thrill of battle to the stage. This timeless story, retold during an election year, reflects even more potently on today's global stage. Five actors each take on the role of Henry as we explore the ways in which the king represents both the power of his position and his role as representative of the people.

The cast, directed by Matt Sciple, features Ricardo Beaird, Becca Hart, Meredith Larson, Gabriel Murphy, and Victoria Pyan.

44 PLAYS FOR 44 PRESIDENTS is a chronological, biographical survey of each of the 44 men who have held one of the most revered and regrettable positions of power on earth. Their miracles and misfires are celebrated by a fistful of actors while moving through comedic and tragic moments, revelations, reconstructions, and mini-musicals. Where has the presidency gone since its fall from paradise? Where will it continue on to? And how much responsibility do we-the people-hold?

The entire original 2012 cast returns to perform in the remount. David Beukema, Kelsey Cramer, Grant Henderson, Heather Meyer, andAdam Qualls take on all the presidents under the direction of Pro Rata artistic director Carin Bratlie Wethern.
