We're rolling out the red carpet and raising a toast to honor Minnesota's finest in community achievement, literary arts, and entertainment.

This gala event will celebrate individuals who have accomplished notable acts or exemplify community leadership. In addition, a special tribute will be presented to Adiliah Barnes, an award-winning actor of stage, television and film. Adiliah is best known to television audiences for her role as Anne Marie on ABC's Roseanne. Barnes will perform her widely toured one-woman play, I AM THAT I AM: WOMAN, a historical journey into the lives of seven renowned women. This play, now in its sixteenth season, has toured three continents (Africa, Europe, North America) including 40 states across the U.S.A. As a writer, Barnes completed her first book, Essence Magazine's best seller "On My Own Terms: One Actor's Journey" in December, 2008.

Entertainment includes national and local groups such as Adilah Barnes, opera singer James Earl Jones II, The Metropolitan Boys Choir, Excelsior, a charismatic choral ensemble and a special performance by The Natural Born Thriller, Matt Macis, a Michael Jackson Impersonator.
