THE TURKEYS to Play the Brave New Workshop March 13-14
The Brave New Workshop continues to bring the best and brightest standup performers in the Twin Cities to its stage with two nights featuring the multi-faceted, did-they-just-say-that comedy group The Turkeys. The performances will take place at the BNW's Experimental Thinking Centre (ETC) event space on Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March 14 at 9pm. Tickets go on sale on Thursday, March 5 and will be available for purchase via the BNW box office or at the door the day of the show.
The Turkeys are a unique comedy super-group, blending video and audio sketches along with more traditional standup comedy. The group is comprised of Twin Cities standup mainstays Gabe Noah, Isaac Witty, and Chris Maddock, Kjell Bjorgen, plus a rotating cast of talented additions. While the members have found success individually on shows like Last Comic Standing and Conan, their passion lies in making comedy collectively.
Noah is particularly enthusiastic about coming to the BNW. "We are thrilled to be partnering with the BNW. After a lifetime of being mistaken for losers, The Turkeys are finally winners."
The benefits of The Turkeys performing at the BNW go both ways. For the venue, it's about bringing fresh and edgy standup comedy to new and current fans. For The Turkeys, there seems to be an additional layer of meaning. "We very much look forward to abusing any and all power we may receive from this alliance to crush our enemies (real or perceived)," says Noah. "As important as revenge and power are, we're also excited to have a home with dedicated technology so that we can take our show to the next level. Also, we are big fans of Franken & Davis, so this rules."
Tickets: $15 (General admission). On sale Thursday, March 5 via the BNW box office or at the door the day of the show.
