Northrop to Welcome The Suzanne Farrell Ballet This Week

Northrop presents THE SUZANNE FARRELL BALLET on Thursday, December 4 at 7:30 pm on the Carlson Family Stage, with full live orchestra.

Featuring:

- One-act Swan Lake
- Allegro Brillante
- The Concert (or The Perils of Everybody)

Enjoy a sparkling evening of ballet from this uniquely praised company, whose artistic director, Suzanne Farrell, was George Balanchine's muse.

At age 16 Suzanne Farrell was asked to join the renowned New York City Ballet under the famous choreographer George Balanchine. For over 20 years she was the last muse of this creative genius. Through her remarkably candid memories, this Academy Award Nominated documentary film traces the dramatic story of the years of their relationship and the years following Balanchine's death.
