A young girl dreams of her true love on the eve of her wedding. Mary remembers when she and Charlie first met as they sought shelter from a thunderstorm. As the lightning and thunder change to the threatening clouds of World War I, the strength of the lover's bond is tested. Charlie finds the courage he needs in the memory of the girl who hopes for his return. This moving and magical play is a love letter testifying to the power of young love, memory, and innocent dreams...
