History Theatre Presents TWIN CITIES And CURRY PIE In Rep, 3/12-4/10

By:

History Theatre will be producing two plays to run in rep during the month of March. Up first is A Tale of Twin Cities, a new play written by beloved Minnesota storyteller Kevin Kling with music composed and arranged by Simone Perrin, running from March 12 - April 3. The other play will be the heartfelt and humorous one-woman show American as Curry Pie by local artist Aamera Siddiqui, running from March 17 - April 10.

In A Tale of Twin Cities, actors and creators Kling and Perrin will offer up a hilarious and off-beat tribute to the sometimes loving, sometimes tumultuous, often hysterical shared histories of the sibling cities: Minneapolis and St. Paul. This play will have a perfect companion with American as Curry Pie, one woman's story about immigration, assimilation and discovering what it means to be an American.

Suzy Messerole will direct A Tale of Twin Cities and co-direct American as Curry Pie with Meena Natarajan. Both plays will feature scenic design by Nayna Ramey, lighting design by Wu Chen Khoo, sound design by Katherine Horowitz and properties design by Gunther Gullickson. A Tale of Twin Cities will be stage managed by Matt Dawson and American as Curry Pie will be stage managed by Janet L. Hall.
