Guthrie Presents Their New Production Of A CHRISTMAS CAROL

The Guthrie Theater's all-new production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol received rave reviews, opening November 25 on the Wurtele Thrust Stage in Minneapolis. With a newly-commissioned script by British playwright Crispin Whittell, director Joe Dowling takes the reigns of this Twin Cities holiday tradition, which features a re-envisioned production from a new creative team - set designer Walt Spangler (Broadway: Desire Under the Elms, Hollywood Arms), costume designer Mathew J. LeFebvre, Tony Award-winning lighting designer Christopher Akerlind (Broadway: Superior Donuts, Top Girls, 110 in the Shade, Awake and Sing, Shining City, Well, Rabbit Hole, The Light in the Piazza, The Tale of the Allergist's Wife, Seven Guitars, among others), composer Keith Thomas, sound designer Scott W. Edwards and aerial flight director John Stead. British theater, television and film actor Daniel Gerroll plays the role of Ebenezer Scrooge in the holiday production, which marks its 36th year on the Guthrie stage.
