Guthrie Announces the When We Are Married Dream Wedding Giveaway

In celebration of the Guthrie's summer comedy, the theater today announced the When We Are Married Dream Wedding Giveaway, offering one lucky couple a unique prize package valued at more than $60,000. The winner will be announced on July 13 and married Center Stage by Guthrie veteran and Father of the Bride film star Peter Michael Goetz on Sunday, August 16 at 6 p.m. Couples wishing to enter must submit a 3- to 5-minute video by June 30, explaining why they want to be married at the Guthrie. The top five winners will be chosen by the Guthrie and posted for public voting on mspmag.com and metromix.com from July 6 - 12. The wedding prize package includes:
· Wedding ceremony on Sunday, August 16, 2009 at 6 p.m. on the Guthrie's Wurtele Thrust Stage officiated by Guthrie veteran and Father of the Bride film star Peter Michael Goetz

About When We Are Married
Three distinguished couples come together in celebration of their joint silver wedding anniversaries only to discover that the parson who married them was, in fact, not authorized to perform marriages, and they have been "living in sin" for the past 25 years. Familiar stage and screen actor Peter Michael Goetz (Father of the Bride) joins Helen Carey and a host of Guthrie favorites -- including Barbara Bryne, Jonas Goslow, Sally Wingert, Robert O.
