The Underground presents Rajiv Joseph's GRUESOME PLAYGROUND INJURIES, running tonight, October 1, through October 10, 2015, starring Robert Lee and Sarah Lueck and directed by Mary Fox, at The Duluth Playhouse.

GRUESOME PLAYGROUND INJURIES tells the story of two childhood friends, Doug and Kayleen, who over the span of 30 years, keep running into one another thanks to their chronic prone to injury and accident. Their physical and emotional clumsiness connects them over the years, proving that sometimes love really does hurt and it's clearly written in the scars.

GRUESOME PLAYGROUND INJURIES made its world premiere in October 2009 at the Alley Theatre in Houston, Texas, and starred Selma Blair and Brad Fleischer.

Rajiv Joseph is an American playwright and 2010 Pulitzer Prize finalist, and has been called "daring, magnificent and virtuosio" by the L.A. Times. He is currently a writer for the Showtime television series Nurse Jackie.
