Four Humors Theater Presents APRIL FOOLS 2011

Since being informed by the Minnesota Centennial Showboat last week that Harriet Island would be closed for flooding before April 1st, Four Humors has forged ahead with the only reasonable move a theater company can make after its venue falls through at the last minute... find two new venues!

Four Humors Theater is proud to announce that April Fools will now be held in two different cities on the evening of Friday, April 1st. The first show will take place at the Black Forest Inn's banquet room (1 East 26th Street Minneapolis, Minnesota 55404) at 7pm with food and drink service. After the wildly successful performance, Four Humors will proceed to immediately remount the Minneapolis run of April Fools at the Cabaret Theater at Camp Bar (490 North Robert Street Saint Paul, MN 55101) in St. Paul with a reception to follow.

Twin Cities-based Four Humors Theater creates original, honest and innovative work that exposes the humor in our everyday lives. The third annual April Fool's Day event is a celebration of all things foolish: it features two, one-night-only performances of April Fools, with the first being followed by the premiere announcement of the upcoming 2011-12 season, and the second being followed by the encore announcement of the upcoming season and the premiere 2011-10 season announcement reception.

When laughter is stolen by the villain (the one wearing the black cape and top hat,) several fools must embark on the most epic journey of their lives to get it back. Our heroes must outwit the cunning Poetry Box, resist the siren call of Phillip Glass, and ignore the distraction of fashion forward hats, all while obeying the parameters set forth by the omnipotent Techno Music. Will the fools prevail or will laughter forever rest in the mustachioed clutches of the villain? Find out

Created collaboratively by Four Humor's Artistic Director Jason Ballweber and Company Members Kristin AlAnna Campbell, Ryan Dixon, Ryan Lear, Alisa Mattson, Brant Miller, Jenny Moeller, Rachel Petrie, Mark Rehani, Toby Rust, Nick Ryan, and Matt Spring, April Fools is a series of vignettes featuring physical acting, object work, music, dance, and poetry; a showcase and celebration of anything and everything that makes people laugh.

April Fools does not end with the close of the curtain: there will be a season announcement following both shows and a reception at Camp Bar cabaret after the final show ends. It's an entire night of merriment in two cities with Four Humors, celebrating the end of one season and announcing the line up for the next.
