Children's Theatre Company Appoints Michael Winn As Director Of Community Partnerships And Inclusion

Children's Theatre Company (CTC) announced today the appointment of Michael Winn as the organization's new Director of Community Partnerships and Inclusion. Winn has served as the Audience Development Manager at the ALLIANCE THEATRE in Atlanta, GA for over five years. He brings significant experience working in communities and serving as a key driver of the ALLIANCE THEATRE's EDI efforts through their Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Staff and Board Committee. He was a 2016 cohort member of ArtEquity, and the recipient of the 2015/16 TCG Audience Revolution Travel Grant. Michael Winn begins his new role at CTC on September 10, 2018.

Winn's work in community engagement and audience development grew audiences from under-represented communities in the Atlanta area, and created dozens of partnerships and events each season. He has built lasting partnerships with a diverse group of organizations, including the Anti-Defamation League, GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network), PFLAG (Parents, Family and Friends of Lesbians and Gays), The Counter Narrative Project, Ebenezer Baptist Church, The Shepherd Center's SHARE Military Initiative, Temple Sinai, the American Jewish Committee, the El Farooq Masjid, Boys and Girls Clubs of Atlanta and Emory University's Center for Ethics.

Michael Winn is an alumnus of the Lila Acheson Wallace American Playwrights Program at The Juilliard School, and holds a B.A. in History from Stillman College, an HBCU.
