CHRISTMAS MY WAY Opens Tonight at Plymouth Playhouse

By:

Plymouth Playhouse pays tribute to the Chairman of the Board, legendary crooner Frank Sinatra in Christmas My Way, A Sinatra Holiday Bash opening tonight, November 18, continuing through January 17, 2016.

Christmas My Way, A Sinatra Holiday Bash, conceived by Broadway producer/director David Grapes and Todd Olson with a book by Todd Olson and vocal arrangements by Vince di Mura is a Sinatra-style holiday sequel to the highly successful My Way production. Performed by four singers, this musical revue of 30 songs will take you from his early years in New York during the 1940s swing era, to the casinos of Las Vegas with the Rat Pack in the 1960s and to his final performances in the 1990s as "Chairman of the Board. Rolling Stone's Stephen Holden wrote "Frank Sinatra's voice is pop music history."

Christmas My Way brings together four well-know musical theater performers Dorian Chalmers and Tim Drake from the original cast of the hit musical comedy Church Basement Ladies, Jennifer Ekes of POP UP MUSICAL and Ken Quiricone. a two year veteran of the Medora Musical. They are joined by a three-piece swinging, live band including Dennis Curley, piano, Marc Bohn, percussion and Ed Avila, upright bass. Nothing is silent about this night as they make a little hey-hey with groovy versions of such Sinatra Christmas hits like "Mistletoe and Holly," "The Christmas song." "Christmas Memories," "Winter Wonderland," "Silver Bells" and "I'll Be Home for Christmas." Toss in the Rat Pack versions of "Twas the Night Before Christmas " and "The Twelve Days of Christmas," Other Sinatra mainstays include "Fly Me To The Moon," "New York, New York," "That's Life," "Love and Marriage," "I Get A Kick Out of You," "I've Got You Under My Skin," and "The Lady is a Tramp" to complete the evening.

Christmas My Way is directed by Curt Wollan, choreographed by Rebecca Abas with set design by Erica Zaffaranos,, lighting design by Jim Eichen, costume design by Katrina Benedict and musical direction by Dennis Curley.

Christmas My Way invites you to grab your bird, jingle your bells, pour a good stiff egg not, and have yourself a merry little Christmas NOW baby!
