The Brave New Workshop Experimental Thinking Centre has announced "MADE IN AMERICA", a new show by comedian Rob Asaro, coming to the ETC on Thursday, August 24th.

This new show is an unconventional drama/comedy about two lost mismatched strangers: Ilona, a jaded, know-it-all 20 something travel blogger, and Casey, a 30 something comedian with a booked tour west, who reluctantly team up on a road trip for from New York to Los Angeles.

"What excites me about the show is that it is a perfect amalgamation of my preoccupations, interests, and experiences but also the bits I've included are the ones that I would describe as the most fun of the ones I've performed the past several years in New York City," says Asaro. Before "MADE IN AMERICA", Asaro has produced, written and starred in several short films and has been part of sketch troupe such as "Captains of Industry, "and "Chocolate Cake City." In addition, his film and stage work has been officially selected for festivals in Montreal, Boston, Chicago, Miami, and New York, as well as lesser cities such as Philadelphia. Sketches by Asaro have been broadcast on MTVu and heard on SiriusXM Radio.

"The Experimental Thinking Centre was founded with the idea that we could bring new types of thoughtful, comedic content to the Twin Cities, and this show certainly fits that bill," says Brave New Workshop Entertainment Company president Earl Mollerud. "I'm very excited to see our audiences engage with this new format."

Asaro is also excited to see how the Twin Cities reacts to this blend of storytelling, interactive theater, and other absurdist content. "I've cultivated these pieces in off-beat theaters, to audiences willing to go on a more non-conventional journey, so I'm happy to bring Made In America to the Brave New Workshop as I sense their community possess a similar adventurous spirit."

"MADE IN AMERICA" will be in the Brave New Workshop ETC Theatre on Thursday, August 24th at 7:00p - tickets are available via bravenewworkshop.com or through calling the box office at 612-332-6620.
