Garfunkel has had an illustrious career. As a musician, he was originally revered for his award winning, chart-topping songs and albums with musical partner and fellow New York native Paul Simon. He won seven Grammy Awards with Simon & Garfunkel. Their greatest hits collection, which includes "Mrs. Robinson," "Scarborough Fair," "The Sound Of Silence" and "Bridge Over Troubled Water," is one of the biggest selling albums of all time. They also earned England's prestigious Britannia Award for "Bridge Over Troubled Water." In 1990, both were inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Garfunkel found success as a solo artist. Angel Clare spawned the top 10 hit "All I know," and his most recent album, 2012's The Singer, received critical acclaim. Rolling Stone magazine described it as "a revelation from start to finish."

After Simon & Garfunkel parted ways in 1970, Garfunkel landed several major film roles, including one starring opposite Jack Nicholson in Carnal Knowledge, which earned him a Best Supporting Actor Golden Globe nomination. The multi-talented Garfunkel explored another artistic endeavor in 1989 when he published the critically-acclaimed "Still Water," a collection of poetry.

From the 1990s to today, Garfunkel continues doing what he does best, singing for an audience. "Taking on the fear and vulnerability of a live show keeps you vital," says Garfunkel, who relishes the opportunity to perform new and classic material for fans around the world. "I'm a singer trying to get away with a lucky job. I try to soothe, to lift...that's my life."
