CYMBELINE Revealed as 2023 Shakespeare In The Park Touring Production

Milwaukee's Free Shakespeare in the Park (SITP) has announced its 2023 summer production will be the romantic-tragic-comedic Cymbeline. Building upon the success of the company's first two fully touring shows, A Midsummer Night's Dream: The Lovers' Tale (2021) and Twelfth Night: Or, What She Will (2022), this year's production will also travel the greater Milwaukee area.

Optimist Theatre has announced the retirement of Ron Scot Fry, its Founding Artistic Director. Fry set the vision and mission of Optimist Theatre, from its founding as Midwest Children’s Theatre in 1993, through its evolution to producer of Shakespeare in the Park in 2010 to the post-pandemic return to live theater.

Optimist Theatre Announces Casting and Locations For A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM: THE LOVERS' TALE

The cast will welcome back Optimist veterans Libby Amato as Puck, Rebekah Farr as Hermia/Fairy, and Fabian Guerrero as Lysander. New-to-Optimist performers Susie Duecker as Helena, Seth Hale as Oberon/Theseus and King Hang as Demetrius round out the cast of six.
