July 30-31, the Peck School of the Arts Dance Department presents 'Dancemakers' in the Mainstage Theatre, 7:30pm. The Peck School of the Arts Dance Department presents two unique evenings featuring works by Dance MFA students. Each summer, professional dancers and choreographers travel from across the United States to participate in the school's renowned graduate program. Their collaborations will culminate in two evenings at the end of July when they share their original and compelling work with the public.

Tom Strini of Third Coast Digest will moderate a pre-performance discussion on Friday, July 30 from 6:30-7:15pm with choreographers Olase Freeman, Cynthia Garner-Gutierez, Amii LeGendre, Scott Lyons, Lindsay Gilmour, Angie Yetzke and performer Nicole Wolcott. Dancemakers is an official "National Dance Day" event, part of So You Think You Dance's commitment to supporting dance education and physical fitness in communities throughout the United States.
