Lake Country Playhouse Presents Neil Simon's RUMORS, Now thru 5/17

Lake Country Playhouse is proud to present the Neil Simon classic comedy, Rumors. Directed by Barbara Christensen, performances are today, May 1-17, 2015, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 and Sundays at 2:00pm. Tickets are $13-18. Director Barbara Christensen says, "Neil Simon is the master of farce and fantastic comedy. We are proud to have so many talented local actors making their LCP debut with this light, frothy, and hilarious comedic masterpiece. Rumors has nothing on its mind except making the audience laugh, and laugh often! This will be a side-splitting night at the theatre full of great humor and good fun!"

Rumors features performances by Paris Procopis, Becca Richards, John Roberts, Sara Sarna, Matt Brown, Barb Lancelle, Scott Fudali, Sandra Renick, Kid Beat Box, and Lucia Mennen.

The production team for Rumors includes Ron Ehrlich, scenic design and technical direction; Heather Patterson, costume design; Nancy Hurd, hair design; Cindy Vogt, set decoration; Lucia Mennen, assistant director; and Sharon Jahneke, production manager.

At a large, tastefully appointed townhouse, the Deputy Mayor of New York has just shot himself. Though only a flesh wound, four couples are about to experience a severe attack of farce. Gathering for their tenth wedding anniversary, the host lies bleeding in the other room and his wife is nowhere in sight. His lawyer, Ken and wife Chris must get "the story" straight before the other guests arrive. As the confusions and miscommunications mount, the evening spins off into classic farcical hilarity!
