In the first season of Star Search, Sawyer Brown, an eclectic and charismatic country-rock band, appeared on the show and took America by storm. The group won over millions of fans with their electrifying TV performances and swept the stage with their competition, taking first place in the show’s inaugural season. Since then, the band’s high-energy reputation, uncompromising dedication, and relentless drive to stay true to themselves have never wavered. For the past 40 years, the boys’ legendary live shows have captivated audiences, and they’re showing no signs of slowing down. Today, the band just keeps on delivering their unapologetically blue-collar grassroots message through music. One of their fan-favorite songs, “Travelin’ Band,” says it all: “They were searchin’ for stars when we came along. It was rock ‘n’ roll in a country song. There were five of us thinking that we can. This is the life and times of a travelin’ band.”
