Lost in Yonkers is Neil Simon's Pulitzer Prize-winning play set in 1942 New York, in which two young brothers are left on the doorstep of their stern Grandma Kurnitz. As they navigate their new world, the boys encounter their eccentric Aunt Bella, her secret romance, and a small-time hoodlum uncle. The play is a funny and poignant memory play about the resilience of family.

June 02, 2026 Farmers Alley Theatre announced its 2026/2027 mainstage lineup, featuring COME FROM AWAY, KIMBERLY AKIMBO, LOST IN YONKERS, and a Kalamazoo Premiere comedy as the Kalamazoo company enters its 19th season.

February 25, 2020 Farmers Alley Theatre is honoring the life of one of America's greatest playwrights, Neil Simon, with his Pulitzer Prize Winning masterwork, Lost in Yonkers, running March 13-29. Farmers Alley Theatre is also pleased to announce that thanks in large part to several local organizations, we will be reinstating our Student Ticket Initiative for this production, which provided free student tickets to those who wish to attend the show (subject to availability).About the Theatre
