Who Wants Cake? Presents 3 Christopher Durang Works 3/13-28

By:

Who Wants Cake? solves the mystery of what to do late nights in the month of March when they present their production of Christopher Durang's The Hardy Boys and the Mystery of Where Babies Come From along with two other short Durang plays.

The Hardy Boys... will play for an exclusive three-week run at Ferndale's The Ringwald Theatre from Friday, March 13 th through Saturday, March 28 th . For this late night extravaganza, Who Wants Cake? will offer low-price tickets for $10. The Hardy Boys and the Mystery of Where Babies Come From , directed by Joe Bailey, presents the story of Joe and Frank Hardy.

Marvel as they try to figure out why Nancy Drew has a bun in the oven and how it may have gotten there, since she doesn't bake and all. Wanda's Visit, directed by Lisa Maxine Mellinn, is a visit you hope you never have to endure. And Stye of the Eye, directed by Michael Carnow, is a glorious send-up of the hyper-masculine theatrical worlds of David Mamet and Sam Shepard (with a little Agnes of God thrown in for good measure).

Who Wants Cake? opened the doors to their resident home, The Ringwald, in May 2007 with Fatal Attraction: A Greek Tragedy. Quickly, The Ringwald became a mainstay of Detroit's theatre community. Their first season offered up slice after slice of successful shows including Southern Baptist Sissies, Debbie Does Dallas: The Musical, Bug, and The Facts of Life: The Lost Episode.

Who Wants Cake? was named the 2008 Best Theatre Group in Channel 4's Vote 4 The Best contest.Tickets for The Hardy Boys and the Mystery of Where Babies Come From are $10.00 for 10:30PM Friday and Saturday performances. Reservations may be made by phone at 248-545-5545 or online at www.WhoWantsCakeTheatre.com. The box office opens 30 minutes before performances.
