The Gauntlet Improv Competition Returns To Go Comedy!

After awarding $1,000 in the first ever Bailout Improv Tournament Spectacular in June, Go Comedy! is set to continue the competition with The Gauntlet Wednesday nights at 8pm beginning September 1st. Tickets ($5) are available online at www.gocomedy.net, by calling 248-327-0575, or in person beginning at 7pm Wednesday - Sunday at the Go Comedy! box office.

The Gauntlet is a weekly battle royale that pits two improv teams against each other in fierce comedy combat. After winning by audience vote, the top team continues toward glory, fame, money and public recognition. Losing teams go back to the beginning to try again. After winning four weeks in a row improv teams win $200. After eight weeks, the prize goes up to $300, and after twelve weeks, teams win $500 and a place of honor on The Gauntlet Plaque of Heroes.

To make it even harder any time teams are up for a prize they will go against The Gladiators - one of Go Comedy!'s very own battle hardened teams. The Gauntlet is open to any Detroit area improv team. Interested teams can sign up by contacting Matt Naas at matt@gocomedy.net.
