The Berman Center for the Performing Arts is pleased to present A Life in Art, a film and lecture series that will focus on two of the world's most poignant artists.

First up is painter Jackson Pollock whose life will be explored in a three-part series starting with the film "Who The #@%! Is Jackson Pollock?" on August 31. Pollock - A Life In Art, a lecture chronically his explosive life, amazing career and the changes he made to the world of art, will take place September 7. The movie "Pollock," September 28, which stars Ed Harris and Marcia Gay Harden concludes the series on Pollock.

A Life in Art continues this February, exploring the life and work of Leonardo Da Vinci.

"Who the #@%!" is Jackson Pollock?" follows Teri, her son and a forensics specialist in their search to uncover the truth about this mysterious painting. Is it just an amateur attempt at modern art - or could it be a reAl Jackson Pollock?

Jackson Pollock was born in 1921 in Wyoming and became one of the most influential artists of his time. He was also an extraordinary personality, notorious for his reclusive nature and temper and his struggles with alcoholism. Learn about his explosive life, amazing career and the changes he made to the world of art.

Jackson Pollock's life was filled with drama, from his years of Jungian psychotherapy to his marriage to fellow artist Lee Krasner, who played a critical role in his legacy. "Pollock" stars Ed Harris and Marcia Gay Harden in electrifying performances. "The pleasure of watching these two superb actors play figures of such stature without a trace of sentimentality is enormous," said Stephen Holden of The New York Times.
