Teena Marie and Friends, originally scheduled for Sunday, August 30 at the Fox Theatre has been reschedule, and a new line-up has been announced. Grammy Award-nominated singer/songwriter Teena Marie and Charlie Wilson, with a special appearance by K'Jon, will now head to the Fox Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, November 28.

Tickets for the August 30 performance will be honored for the new date. Ticket refunds are also available at point of purchase. For Ticketmaster Customer Service, call (800) 653-8000.

2009 marks the 30th anniversary of Teena Marie's recording career with the June release of her thirteenth CD, Congo Square. The 16-song CD is boasting all of the panoramic musicality a fan could desire and her fresh alignment with Stax Records that -after her storied Motown debut in 1979 - marks the second time Teena has been proudly affiliated with a bedrock black music institution. Congo Square is a passionate, accessible and, as always, autobiographical adventure that cruises smoothly from southern soul and smoky jazz to dance floor funk.

As one of the most distinguished voices of R&B, Charlie Wilson needs no introduction. The Tulsa, Oklahoma native and former lead singer of the funkadelic brotherly trio, the GAP Band, is now going two for two with his second solo album on Jive Records, entitled UNCLE CHARLIE. The album was released in February, debuting #1 on Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Chart and #2 on the Billboard Pop Chart. This album debut was a career high for Wilson, charting higher than any of his previous projects, including the GAP Band albums.

Tickets ($58, $68, $78 & $88) are on sale and may be purchased at OlympiaEntertainment.com, the Fox Theatre and Joe Louis Arena box offices, Hockeytown Authentics in Troy (without service charge) at all Ticketmaster locations and Ticketmaster.com.
