The Dio - Dining & Entertainment, Livingston County's professional, award winning dinner theatre, is very excited to present the Michigan premier of The Bridges of Madison County The Musical directed by Steve DeBruyne with musical direction by Brian E. Buckner.

Based on the best-selling novel, and developed by the Pulitzer- and Tony Award-winning creative team of Jason Robert Brown (The Last Five Years, Parade, Songs for a New World) and Marsha Norman, The Bridges of Madison County captures the lyrical expanse of America's heartland along with the yearning entangled in the eternal question" "What if...?" Winner of the 2014 Tony Award for Best Score and Orchestrations, this sweeping romance about the roads we travel, the doors we open and the bridges we dare to cross will leave audiences breathless.

Francesca Johnson, a beautiful Italian woman who married an American soldier to flee war-ravaged Italy, looks forward to a rare four days alone on her Iowa farm when her family heads to the 1965 State Fair. When ruggedly handsome, National Geographic photographer, Robert Kincaid, pulls into her driveway seeking directions, though, what happens in those four days may very well alter the course of Francesca's life.

The Bridges of Madison County stars New York's Jon McHatton as Robert Kincaid, and Michigan's Marlene Inman as Francesca Johnson, and features additional performances by Anne Bauman, Molly Cunningham, Steve DeBruyne, James Fischer, Andrew Gorney, Madison Merlanti, Dan Morrison, Luciana Piazza, Derek Ridge, JuliAnne Roberts, Carrie Jay Sayer and Jared Schneider.

Performances take place at The Dio, 177 E. Main Street, Pinckney Michigan, 48169 from April 7 through May 21, 2017, Friday and Saturday evenings, and Sunday afternoons. There will be one Thursday evening performance on April 6 and one Thursday matinee on May 18.

All tickets include dinner, dessert and non-alcoholic beverages. The menu for The Bridges of Madison County includes Caesar salad and homemade breadsticks, fresh spring vegetables sautéed in garlic butter, pasta primavera with fresh veggies and herbs in a light garlic tomato basil sauce, Italian sausage cooked to perfection and mixed with green peppers and onions and our signature fried boneless chicken, hand breaded and fried golden brown, plus dessert.
