Purple Rose Theatre Co. Hosts Second Annual Backyard BBQ Today

Today, August 3, 2013, The Purple Rose Theatre Company will host its 2nd annual Backyard BBQ fundraising event. The fundraiser will begin at 5:00 p.m. and take place right behind the theatre. The event will feature a BBQ dinner, performance by the Mosaic Singers from the Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit, and a Silent and Live auction. At 8:00 p.m., guests will enjoy the PRTC's production of Miles & Ellie. The evening will conclude with dessert and coffee in the theatre's lobby. Tickets for JUST the BBQ portion of the evening will be sold for $60.00 per person. To attend the BBQ and the performance, tickets will be sold for $100.00 per person.

Tables of 10 can be reserved for $1,000.00. Backyard BBQ tickets may be reserved by contacting the PRTC Development Department at (734) 433-7782x14, or by emailing lisa@purplerosetheatre.org. This is the theatre's biggest fundraiser of the year, with 100% of proceeds benefitting the PRTC.

Founded in 1991, The Purple Rose Theatre Company is dedicated to producing the new American play and creating opportunities for Midwest theatre professionals. The PRTC is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit theatre operating under a Small Professional Theatre agreement with the Actors' Equity Association. The PRTC promotes the development of new American theatre and its practitioners, provides valuable educational opportunities for young artists, and, through consistently high quality production values, has earned the respect of both local and National Theatre communities.
