Photo Flash: Meet the Stars of HAND TO GOD at The Ringwald
Robert Askin's Tony Award-nominated comedy is making its Detroit debut as part of The Ringwald's 10th Season, and BroadwayWorld has a sneak peek at the stars in character below!
The fearsome creature who takes over teenaged Jason's left arm is none other than his sock puppet Tyrone. After the death of his father, meek Jason finds an outlet for his anxiety at the Christian Puppet Ministry, in the devoutly religious, relatively quiet small town of Cypress, Texas. Jason's complicated relationships with the town pastor, the school bully, the girl next door, and-most especially-his mother are thrown into upheaval when Jason's puppet, Tyrone, takes on a shocking and dangerously irreverent personality all its own. Hand to God hilariously explores the fragile nature of faith, morality, and the ties that bind us.
Brandy Joe Plambeck directs a cast that includes Dyan Bailey, Mike McGettigan, Taylor Morrow, Joshua Daniel Palmer, and Mike Suchyta.
