The hilariously, bloody tradition continues this fall as Evil Dead: The Musical (Thursday, Oct. 1- Saturday, Oct. 31) enters its sixth season performing at the City Theatre. Based on Sam Raimi's 80's cult classic films, the musical unearths the old familiar story: boy and friends take a weekend getaway at abandoned cabin, boy expects to get lucky, boy unleashes ancient evil spirit, friends turn into Candarian Demons, boy fights until dawn to survive. Detroit couples are sure to roar again with laughter, share knowing glances, and ask "Could comedy give couples therapy a run for its money?" With hilarious insight on contemporary feminism, masculine sensitivity and the erogenous zones, Defending the Caveman (Thursday, Nov. 12- Sunday, Nov. 15) will once again mine the common themes in relationships that go straight to the funny bone while warming the heart during its return engagement at the City Theatre.Olympia Entertainment, a Detroit-based company owned by entrepreneurs Michael and Marian Ilitch, is one of the country's most diverse sport and entertainment companies and the largest organization of its kind in the mid-west.
