Morris Day & The Time Returns to MotorCity Casino Hotel Soundboard, 3/5

MotorCity Casino Hotel has announced the return of Morris Day & the Time, at Sound Board Friday, March 5th at 8 pm.
In 1981 with funky and danceable R&B material, Morris Day and The Time captured the exploding music scene. The band was cast in Purple Rain, and toured with Prince. The Time member lineup since 2006 includes Morris Day, Jellybean Johnson, Monte Moir, Ricky Smith, Jerome Benton, Jesse Johnson, Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis and Torrell Ruffin. The group released three gold albums and one platinum album. Combined sales of Morris Day's solo work and The Time are in excess of 10 million units.
Tickets ($39.00, $35.00) go on sale November 13, 2009 at all Ticketmaster locations and Ticketmaster.com. Tickets are also available through the MotorCity Casino Hotel Box Office Friday-Sunday.
