Matrix Theatre Company Presents NO CHILD... from 9/20 to 10/13
NO CHILD... is directed by Courtney Burkett, and features Morgan Breon and Sunkari Sykes. It will run from September 20 - October 13, with shows on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm and Sunday at 3 pm. As a warning to the public, the play does contain strong language.
"No Child..." examines the day-to-day life within an inner city high school and the effect that a teaching artist has on a sophomore class during a six week residency in their classroom. The goal is to teach them drama and ultimately produce a performance of "Our Country's Good." Combining humor and heartbreak, this play takes a realistic - yet optimistic - look at the plight of urban education and the future of not only its students, but also our country as a whole.
Talkbacks will take place after some performances. Call Matrix for more information and a schedule.
Tickets are $20 for adults, as well as $15 for students/seniors. Season passes are also available now for the other productions the Matrix Theatre Company will be putting on!
