Love Jones The Musical has announced a performance at the Fox Theatre on Saturday, October 8 at 8 p.m., as part of its national tour debut. Based on Theodore Witcher's 1997 cult classic film, the stage adaptation retells the familiar story in a concert style setting featuring a star-studded roster including MC Lyte, Musiq Soulchild, Chrisette Michele, Marsha Ambrosius, Dave Hollister and Raheem DeVaughn.

Tickets ($59.50, $64.50, $74.50 and $89.50) go on sale Friday, July 29 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at OlympiaEntertainment.com, the Fox Theatre and Joe Louis Arena box offices, Hockeytown Authentics in Troy (without service charge) at all Ticketmaster locations and Ticketmaster.com. Originally released as a movie starring actors Larenz Tate and Nia Long, Love Jones became an instant classic that captured the imagination of an entire generation. Now, the much anticipated adaption will also have screenplay written and be directed by Theodore Witcher.
