LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS Comes to Riverbank Theatre
Little Shop of Horrors has devoured the hearts of theatre goers for over 30 years. Meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant he names "Audrey II", after his coworker crush. However, this is no ordinary plant. It's a "Mean Green Mother from Outer Space" - a pushy, R & B singing monster that feeds on blood and is intent on global domination! As grim as that sounds, a lively du-wop musical score, reminiscent of the Motown era, coupled with a fabulously humorous script results in the most fun anyone can have watching wickedness unfold. Intertwined with the humor are truly touching moments where the dream of escaping Skid Row makes you root for the characters in this classic cult favorite rock comedy.
The show is directed by Edmond Reynolds and music directed by Paul Decker; the same team that brought such Wonderful Productions to life at Riverbank such as, The Great American Trailer Park Musical, Promises Promises, Little Women, and Titanic. The cast includes some Riverbank veterans as well as some new talent; all of whom are seasoned performers.
Performances are Thursday - Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 3:00 p.m. Tickets are $28.00 for reserved seating and are available online at www.riverbanktheatre.com or by phone at 810-278-1749.
