Kickshaw Theatre Welcomes Playwright Brenda Withers For Talkback April 6

Kickshaw Theatre is delighted to announce a special post-show talkback with playwright Brenda Withers following the 8pm performance of The Ding Dongs (or What Is The Penalty In Portugal?) on Saturday, April 6, 2019.

Withers will join Kickshaw Artistic Director Lynn Lammers and the cast - which includes Casaundra Freeman*, Dan Helmer, and Dan Johnson - to discuss the production and take questions from the audience.

Brenda Withers is a playwright, actor, and founding member of the Harbor Stage Company, a professional ensemble on Cape Cod. Her plays include The Deer and the Antelope, Northside Hollow (w/Jonathan Fielding), The Ding Dongs, and The Kritik, and have been presented at places like Portland Stage, Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, Amphibian Stage Productions, and HERE. She is the recipient of the Clauder Prize and an Edgerton Award, has enjoyed playwriting residencies with the Huntington, New Georges, and the Camargo Foundation, and studied drama and religion at Dartmouth College.

Tickets for the 8pm performance on Saturday, April 6 are on sale now. Tickets are $25 for general admission and $10 for students. Advance reservations will be available online at www.kickshawtheatre.org or by phone through Showclix at 888.718.4253 beginning February 26, 2019. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the door with cash or credit card.

The Ding Dongs (or What Is The Penalty In Portugal?) runs March 28 through April 14, 2019. Performances will be Thursdays through Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 4pm at trustArt Studios, 7885 Jackson Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48103.
