Jim Henson's DINOSAUR TRAIN LIVE! Plays Fox Theatre Today

Join Buddy, Tiny, Shiny, Don and all of their friends and family in this upbeat interactive, multi-media live trip back to the Mesozoic. Jim Henson's Dinosaur Train Live! Buddy's Big Adventure makes a stop for two performances at the Fox Theatre today, November 22 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Jim Henson's Dinosaur Train Live! Buddy's Big Adventure embraces and celebrates the fascination that preschoolers have with both dinosaurs and trains. The series encourages basic scientific thinking skills as the audience learns about life science, natural history and paleontology. Based on the PBS Kids television show, "Dinosaur Train" created by Craig Bartlett and produced by The Jim Henson Company, the live production brings all the characters to life in an exciting, original, musical story created just for the stage where the audience is always a part of the show.

The audience joins our Pteranodon family on a new adventure, with the Conductor along for the ride to always keep things on track, and a "live" human Paleontologist character to check in along the way. Set with lush animation styled vegetation, large rear projection video screens creating motion driven backgrounds and a full sized replica of the Dinosaur Train, and using combinations of hybrid walk-around/puppeteered costume characters, forced perspective techniques for our larger dinosaur friends, and several additional types of shadow, mechanical, and blacklight puppetry for special effects, our super stars and their adventures will truly seem larger than life.

Jim Henson's Dinosaur Train Live! Buddy's Big Adventure is produced by Mills Entertainment and Gables Grove Productions. The live stage show was created by Michael Lewis, John Tartaglia and The Jim Henson Company and is directed by John Tartaglia.
