Bay City Players Announce Auditions For DOUBT, A PARABLE 12/13, 12/14

Bay City Players will hold auditions for its upcoming production, Doubt, A Parable, by John Stanley Shanley, on Sunday, December 13 at 4:00 p.m. and Monday, December 14, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. Auditions will be held at Bay City Players, 1214 Columbus Avenue, in Bay City. Directed by Susan Craves.

Performance dates are February 26-28 and March 4-7, 2010. Director, Susan Craves is looking for:

3 women (20's through 60's)

1 man (30's)

THE PLOT: Few plays in recent years have received the praise and awards received by Doubt. It is a mystery. It is a puzzle. It is a powerhouse drama. It is just plain fascinating.
Whom do we believe? The Mother Superior? The priest? The new teaching nun? Or do we believe the boy's mother? Actually, what is there to believe and what is there to doubt? The one thing Doubt is not, is confusing. You'll understand it. You'll make your choices. You'll change your minds. You'll know you've seen one of the best new plays in years.

Those auditioning will be asked to read selections from the script. Limited scripts are available for check-out from the theatre office Monday - Friday from 9am to 1pm for a $10 refundable deposit.
