Speeches throughout history have attempted to exhort masses to rebellion or to war; to raise the dead, praise the dead, or to comfort their families. In BIGMOUTH, world-wide sensation, Belgian artist, Valentijn Dhaenens takes portions of these speeches and emphasizes their importance through use of his incredible dialect and phrasing. Brace yourself for an exciting evening of startling intensity hailed as "brilliant... a fascinating experience" by The Guardian and "unnerving and thought provoking" by Times. Dhaenens expertly interprets fragments of speeches from George W. Bush, Martin Luther King, Josef Goebbels, Robert Kennedy, JFK, Muhammad Ali and Osama bin Laden.

Experience Valentijn Dhaenens in BIGMOUTH at Wharton Center's Pasant Theatre on Friday, January 15, 2016. Tickets are available at Wharton Center's official ticketing outlets: online at whartoncenter.com, at the Auto-Owners Insurance Ticket Office at Wharton Center, or by calling 1-800-WHARTON.

In his homeland, Belgium, Dhaenens is known for co-founding the Flemish theatre company SKaGEN, where BIGMOUTH originally debuted. SKaGEN is known for their avant-garde, thought provoking, performances and showcases. Now, travelling thousands of miles from his homeland, Dhaenens brings his internationally acclaimed show overseas to the Wharton Center. VALENTIJN DHAENENS: BIGMOUTH is absolutely not to be missed! The London Guardian calls the show "brilliant...a fascinating experience."
