Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra Presents MOZART BIRTHDAY BASH, 1/14

By:

This year the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra celebrates the great works of Wolfgang Amedeus Mozart with another Mozart Birthday Bash on Saturday, January 14th at 8:00pm at the Michigan Theatre. The symphony is excited to feature special guest pianist Alon Goldstein as we enjoy Mozart's musical mastery.

Alon Goldstein is the ultimate Mozart pianist: seemless, delicate, yet powerful. "The Piano Concerto #21 (Elvira Madigan), is an opera that comes to life in front of our ears: a variety of emotions that unfold with divine beauty," says Goldstein of this featured work. Mozart's Symphony No. 39 is known to be his "perfect piece" since it was composed simply for the sake of Music. Tchaikovsky's Suite No.4, "Mozartiana" is a delightful homage to Mozart. In honor of Mozarts 256th birthday each concert patron will receive a Mozart chocolate courtesy of Madeleine Himbeault.

Alon Goldstein has played with the Philadelphia orchestra, the Chicago Symphony, the San Francisco, Baltimore, St. Louis, Dallas, Houston, Toronto and Vancouver symphonies as well as the Israel Philharmonic, London Philharmonic, Los Angeles and Radio France Orchestra. Goldstein 2016-2017 season include debuts with the Hungarian National Orchestra, the Orquesta Sinfonica Nacional de Costa Rica, and the Virginia, Ann Arbor and Rogue Valley symphony orchestras.

Join us for a special night with your Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra on Saturday, January 14th at 8:00pm at the Michigan Theater (603 E. Liberty). Tickets are available online at a2so.com, by emailing tickets@a2so.com, or by calling (734) 994-4801. Single tickets range from $17 to $73. Student, Senior, and Group discounts are available.
