(08/29/2011) - On Saturday August 27, 2011, BroadwayWorld.com's CEO/Editor-in-Chief Robert Diamond, in the midst of Hurricane Irene married actress Jennifer Hallie Rosen after a 17 month engagement. The two were introduced by a friend of Rosen's, who wasn't able to make the wedding, as a result of the weather and warnings throughout all the boroughs. The BroadwayWorld.com News Desk stayed feverish all weekend while the couple said 'I Do', as news was coming fast about theatre cancellations, schedule changes and travel advisories in addition to all things that were happening in other parts of the country and the world, not affected by the Northeast's local weather.

Pay What You Can nights are April 13 and 14. Gala Under the Stars will be April 15 (fundraiser event). RENT is written by Jonathan Larson. Bring Your Dog Night is April 14 and Bike Nights are every Wednesday.

(03/24/2011) - Directed by Patrick Flick, Kathleen Cahill's CHARM is a romantic comedy of manners that follows the life of Margaret Fuller, a remarkable feminist who lived during the mid-1800s. Fuller, a contemporary of three great American thinkers - Henry David Thoreau, Ralph Waldo Emerson, and Nathaniel Hawthorne - was a brilliant writer, philosopher, and social critic far ahead of her time. Full of luscious language and juicy anachronisms, CHARM is a modern, hilarious and stimulating piece that magically weaves in and out of history.

(03/23/2011) - Asolo Repertory Theatre is thrilled to introduce Florida audiences to Las Meninas, by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Lynn Nottage. The play is directed by Asolo Rep Producing Artistic Director Michael Donald Edwards, who directed the World Premiere of Las Meninas at San Jose Rep in 2002. The Asolo Rep production of Las Meninas runs from March 18-May 15, 2011 in Asolo Rep's Mertz Theatre; then will travel to Miami to perform as part of the South Miami Dade Cultural Arts Center (SMDCAC) soft opening. The SMDCAC performance is hoped to foster a further artistic exchange between the two cities and the two organizations, and lead to more projects. The starry concert featured musical theatre legend and Bonnie & Clyde composer Frank Wildhorn, and starred Rob Evan and Laura Osnes, with Marlyn Sanchez, and Jack Murphy; who performed songs from Jekyll & Hyde, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Wonderland, Bonnie & Clyde and more. Bassist Gregg Voorhees accompanied.

(12/06/2010) - Chaps! A Jingle Jangle Christmas at Orlando Shakespeare Theater in Partnership with UCF. It's 1944, years into World War II, and the heyday of singing cowboys on radio and the silver screen. Allied troops from around the world are anxiously awaiting the live, in-studio BBC broadcast of radio and film star Tex Riley and his Radio Roundup. When Tex and his fellow cowboys get lost in London minutes before airtime, the motley BBC crew suddenly find themselves in the 'trenches.' Out of desperation, Mabel, their tour manager, and Miles, the frantic young producer, grab anyone - a snobby announcer, an amiable sound man, a passing soap opera actor - slap them into costume, hand them scripts and shove them in front of the studio audience. The resulting performance is one that England will never forget! Chaps! A Jingle Jangle Christmas features many famous cowboy tunes including, 'Tumblin' Tumbleweeds, ' 'Cool Water,' 'Gunslinger,' and 'Ride, Cowboy, Ride'.
