The Lyric Theatre and Humana Proudly Present a Month of Free Movies at the Lyric

The Lyric Theatre is pleased to present a month of free movies, sponsored by Humana, Florida's largest Medicare health benefits company. The series will feature 10 classic films to be shown on weekends throughout the month of June. Tickets are available only by visiting the Lyric Theatre Box Office; seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis. The free tickets are limited to four per person and are subject to availability. The line-up includes:

· Patton, Friday, June 11 at 7 p.m.: George C. Scott stars as the charismatic and controversial military genius General George S. Patton. This epic-scale production, filmed throughout Europe, won seven Academy Awards.

· Roman Holiday, Sunday, June 13 at 3 p.m.: Audrey Hepburn won an Oscar for her role as a runaway European princess in this fun romance, with Gregory Peck co-starring as a tabloid news reporter in hot pursuit of a sensational story.

· The Graduate, Sunday, June 13 at 7 p.m.: Dustin Hoffman is a college graduate who has an affair with a middle-aged neighbor (Anne Bancroft), only to fall in love with her daughter (Katherine Ross). The film's famous score by Simon and Garfunkel is a star in itself.

· Doctor Zhivago, Friday, June 18 at 6 p.m. and Saturday, June 19 at 3 p.m.: The Bolshevik Revolution is the backdrop for this love story based on the novel by Boris Pasternak. The sweeping spectacle, starring Omar Sharif and Julie Christie, won five Academy Awards.

· The Outlaw Josey Wales, Sunday June 20 at 3 p.m.: Clint Eastwood directed and starred in this film about an ex-Confederate soldier on the run from his former unit and the U.S. Army regiment that killed his family.

· Sunset Boulevard, Friday, June 25 at 7 p.m.: Running from repo men, screenwriter Joe (William Holden) pulls off L.A.'s Sunset Boulevard and enters the crumbling mansion and world of fading silent film star Norma Desmond (Gloria Swanson). A noir classic!

· North by Northwest, Saturday, June 26 at 3 p.m.: This comic drama from legendary director Alfred Hitchcock features Cary Grant as an advertising executive who is mistaken for a U.S. undercover agent. Famous scenes include a crop-duster airplane attack and a true cliffhanger finale atop Mount Rushmore.

· Annie Hall, Saturday, June 26 at 7 p.m.: A witty, wonderful romantic comedy featuring the relationship between neurotic Alvy Singer (Woody Allen) and quirky Annie Hall (Diane Keaton). Considered to be Allen's breakthrough movie, this Oscar-winning film influenced comedy and fashion for years to come.

· The Caine Mutiny, Sunday, June 27 at 3 p.m.: Humphrey Bogart is at his best as the tragic Captain Queeg in the story of a mutiny aboard a navy ship during World War II. Part sea-going adventure, part courtroom drama, The Caine Mutiny is as thought-provoking as it is thrilling.

· All About Eve, Sunday, June 27 at 6 p.m.: Accomplished, aging actress Margo Channing (Bette Davis) befriends a young ingénue (Ann Baxter), who promptly connives to destroy Channing's career and personal life. The film won six Academy Awards and received the most nominations (14) in film history.
