Julie Budd
Saturday, February 4th ~ 4pm & 7pm

About the artist: "Four decades ago, she was known as “Little Julie Budd.” She was just 12 years old, but already her reputation was huge and she was destined for major success. Throughout her career, she has co-starred with such legendary performers as Frank Sinatra, Bill Cosby, Bob Hope, George Burns, Liberace and Carol Burnett. She continues to perform gigs around the country with “A Chorus Line” computer Marvin Hamlisch."

"A sophisticated musical stylist who is often compared to Barbra Streisand, Budd has performed at major symphony halls worldwide, including the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Carnegie Hall and the London Palladium. She is equally comfortable in intimate cabaret performances, particularly at New York’s famed Algonquin, which she calls her “lucky room.”"

"In her revue, “Showstoppers!” Budd toasts Broadway, including big moments like “If He Walked Into My Life,” “Everything’s Coming Up Roses,” “Tonight,” and “Ten Cents a Dance,” along with a few movie tunes such as “My Shining Hour” and “It Might As Well Be Spring.” On “He Had Refinement,” you can close your eyes and hear the late, great Shirley Booth stopping the show in “A Tree Grows in Brooklyn.”"

42FIVE
Tuesday, February 7th ~ 7:00pm

42Five brings timeless, classic music to life with renewed freshness, and infuses beautiful harmonies with a lovable sense of humor and style all their own. This five-member a cappella vocal ensemble’s repertoire mixes a wide range of oldies – everything from “Love Potion No. 9” and “Hound Dog” to “Stayin’ Alive” and “Don’t Stop Believing” – with barbershop standards and their own original tunes.

42Five has been performing their unique brand of entertainment for over a decade. Evolving from a street corner barbershop sound, and drawing on funk, rock, jazz and blues, 42Five recreates an entire instrumental band with nothing but their five voices – and with voices like these, that’s all they need.
