The Colony Hotel, Palm Beach Kicks-Off 2011 with Clint Holmes

The Colony Hotel - which The Palm Beach Post has hailed as "probably the best place for cabaret on the planet" - continues its 10th annual cabaret season in its Royal Room Supper Club with:

December 31 / New Year's Eve

January 4-8 & 11-15

Clint Holmes
Royal Room Debut
Clint Holmes is more than a singer. His powerful voice and magnetic stage presence embrace the upbeat side of life. His first break came when Joan Rivers invited him to be her sidekick and announcer on the now defunct The Late Show. This was followed by a two-year stint on Entertainment Tonight for which he served as their musical feature and event correspondent, and later landed his own Emmy winning talk/variety show entitled, New York at Night. Among his various recordings are the Top Ten smash hit Playground In My Mind (My Name is Michael). A Las Vegas favorite, Clint Holmes was selected as "Best Kept Secret" by Las Vegas Life Magazine, and "Best Singer" (two years in a row), "Best All-Around Las Vegas Performer" and "Favorite Male Las Vegan" by the Review-Herald.

Reviews of Clint Holmes:

+ Los Angeles Times: "There is no show as musically sophisticated and adventurous as Clint Holmes'. His sweet, user-friendly personality obscures just how musically sophisticated and wonderful his show has become over the years as it has gravitated away from pop and into corners ranging from jazz to opera."

+ The New York Beacon: "Singer/dancer/composer/lyricist/comedian, Clint Holmes has made a success of every endeavor he has ever tried. His name is not yet a household word, but judging from the enthusiastic response he's been getting, it's only a matter of time."

+ Las Vegas Weekly: Anyone "looking for an amazing headliner experience... (is) advised to see Clint Holmes."

Cost to Attend Clint Holmes:

+ $350 for New Year's Eve, including cocktail party, dinner, show and midnight buffet

+ Tuesday through Thursday - $115 for dinner & show; $70 for show only

+ Friday and Saturday - $135 for dinner & show; $90 for show only

Except for New Year's Eve, Royal Room headliners perform at 8 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays, with doors opening at 6:45 p.m. for dinner. To make reservations, please call the hotel box-office at 561-659-8100. The Colony is located at 155 Hammon Avenue in Palm Beach.
