Marjorie Taub (Patti Gardner) is in the midst of a mid-life-melt down; her husband, renowned allergist Ira (Michael Beecher) is at a loss; and Marjorie's mother (Iris Acker) is totally non-supportive and focused on her own ‘digestive issues'. When Marjorie's childhood friend Lee (Barbara Sloan) unexpectedly reappears in her life, the entire Taub family's already shaky equilibrium is hilariously and permanently shattered.

Audience response to the sparkling cast and Genie Croft's crisp direction of The Boca Raton Theatre Guild's production of The Tale of the Allergist's Wife has been nothing but enthusiastic. Charles Busch's comedy of manners has Willow Theatre patrons in gales of laughter from the play's opening lines to its final curtain.

Ticket sales are brisk, but there are still excellent seats available for all performances.

The Tale of the Allergist's Wife will run through November 20th. Performances are: Wednesday - Saturday at 8:00 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays at 2:00 p.m. The Willow Theatre in Sugar Sand Park is located at 300 South Military Trail in Boca Raton, just south of Palmetto Park Road. Tickets for The Tale of the Allergist's Wife are $18. Tickets can be purchased at the Willow Theatre Box office: 561-347-3948.

The Boca Raton Theatre Guild is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to producing professional productions and advancing the art of theatre in the South Florida community.
