StarStruck Theatre is keeping it in the family with its cast of the upcoming production of The Music Man. StarStruck's professional production of the beloved musical will star New York actor Josh Rhett Noble, a proud member of Actors Equity Association, and opera darling Lorrianna Colozzo, along with a supporting cast of professional music theater performers. Perhaps what makes this production most special is the casting of real life families to round out the ensemble and enlisting the help of Jensen Beach High School for an authentic brass ensemble for the crowd-favorite,"Seventy-Six Trombones".

The Music Man has been a family favorite for generations and at its core, a musical about a community coming together. What better way to bring families together than to share the experience of bringing this Americana gem to life. The StarStruck cast boasts 3 parent / child teams, including Pete and Gia Morello, Jean and Jessica Ferreira, Steve and Sam McCulley; all of which are either StarStruck Students or Alumni. "Being able to work with my 8 year old daughter is amazing," says cast member Pete Morello,"I am excited to show her the focus, strength, and energy needed to perform on stage, along with the joy that results from working hard for a common goal."

Now in its 18th season, StarStruck's legacy is deeply rooted. StarStruck student alum, Travis Engebretson, who met his wife Brittany as StarStruck Students over 13 years ago, is returning to the stage for the first time since high school. Travis and Brittany now have 2 children, ages 2 and 5, who are already StarStruck regulars. T.J., age 5, is a 2nd generation StarStruck student currently enrolled in a music theater class and although he is too young to join his dad in the show, he already knows every word to "Gary, Indiana" and will surely be ready when the time comes.

And it wouldn't be The Music Man without trombones! Who better to assemble a top-notch brass ensemble than Jensen Beach High School's award-winning band director, Tom Dougherty, whose wife Colleen is also in the cast. A lucky handful of Dougherty's students will help bring this magical score to life and for many, this will mark their professional debut. "We are very excited and happy to be a part of the Music Man," says Dougherty, "I am sure that our students will learn a great deal. I have seen many StarStruck productions and the high caliber performances. I am super pleased that my students will get to experience a small part of that."

The show follows traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band he vows to organize. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain's fall. By turns funny, warm, romantic and touching, The Music Man is a story to be shared with every generation. Meredith Willson's six-time, Tony Award winning musical comedy has been entertaining audiences for over fifty years with such beloved songs such as "Goodnight My Someone," "Seventy-Six Trombones," and "Till There Was You,"

The Music Man is directed by Jennifer Jones, music directed by Peter Jones, and choreographed by Rebecca Beery.
