Single tickets for Miami City Ballet's 2017-2018 season will go on sale on July 10 for all of the company's Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach performances, including MCB's new production of George Balanchine's The Nutcracker with sets and costumes by acclaimed designer-artists Isabel and Ruben Toledo; a 50th Anniversary celebration of Balanchine's Jewels; and six dances by Jerome Robbins, in honor of the 100th year of his birth.

Tickets begin at $25 and are available at MCB's Box Office; online at miamicityballet.org; or by calling 305.929.7010 or 877.929.7010 (Monday - Friday, 10 am - 5 pm).

Program One opens the season on October 20, 2017 with a 50th Anniversary celebration of George Balanchine's sparkling Jewels, returning to MCB's repertoire after a ten-year absence.

The crown jewel of the season is a new production of George Balanchine's The Nutcracker, opening in South Florida on December 15, 2017. The beloved holiday classic features vibrant, magical sets and costumed by Isabel and Ruben Toledo, Balanchine's classic choreography and Tchaikovsky's iconic score.

Program Two will ring in the New Year on January 12, 2018, celebrating the great American choreographer Jerome Robbins in honor of the 100th Anniversary of his birth. MCB will showcase several of his acclaimed works, including the company premieres of Circus Polka, The Cage and Other Dances; and favorites In the Night and West Side Story Suite.

Program Three, opening on February 9, 2018, juxtaposes the old and the new. The company will perform Balanchine's classic Theme and Variations, with music by Tchaikovsky, as well as Jerome Robbins' The Concert (or, the Perils of Everybody). This program will also feature a world premiere by Brian Brooks, inaugural Choreographer in Residence at Chicago's Harris Theater, with a commissioned score by American composer Michael Gordon.

Program Four will open on April 6, 2018 with the MCB premiere of Concerto DSCH, the acclaimed Russian-American choreographer Alexei Ratmansky's inventive and exciting ballet, set to a seething Dmitri Shostakovich piano concerto. Two beloved Balanchine classics, Apollo and La Valse, will end the program and conclude the season.
