Riverside Theatre, led by Producing Artistic Director/CEO Allen D. Cornell and Managing Director/COO Jon R. Moses, present the uproarious comedy, Over The River and Through The Woods playing the Stark Stage from February 2 - 21, 2016. Over The River and Through The Woods is sponsored by Indian River Estates and Riverside Theatre's 2015-2016 Patron Producers Group.

Written by Tony Award-winning playwright Joe DiPietro, Over The River and Through The Woods follows Nick, a single, Italian-American marketing executive from New Jersey, who routinely visits his four grandparents every Sunday for family dinner since his parents retired and moved to Florida. As their only close relative, Nick's grandparents inundate him with family tradition and lots of food. When Nick announces he is being promoted and moving to Seattle, his grandparents are devastated and quickly concoct a series of hilarious schemes to keep Nick from leaving, including introducing him to the woman of his dreams!

Over The River and Through The Woods opened at the John Houseman Theatre Off-Broadway and ran for over two years and 800 performances. Mr. DiPietro's prior produced work was the musical I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, which ran for twelve years at the Westside Theatre Off-Broadway, becoming the second longest-running Off-Broadway musical behind The Fantastics.

Mr. DiPietro's work made its Broadway debut in 2005 with the Elvis Presley jukebox musical, All Shook Up. In 2010, Mr. DiPietro and David Bryan, from the rock group Bon Jovi, wrote the musical Memphis, which earned multiple Tony Awards including the 2010 Tony for Best Musical.

Riverside's production of Over The River and Through The Woods will be directed by Allen D. Cornell and stars John LaGioia as Frank, Sid Solomon as Nick, Kate Konigisor as Aida, Heather Botts as Caitlin, John Freda as Nunzio, and Marina Re as Emma.

The design and production crew includes: Allen D. Cornell (Scenic Design), Anna Hillbery (Costume Design), Yael Lubetzky (Lighting Design), Craig Beyrooti (Sound Design), and Audrey M. Brown (Production Stage Manager). Casting was done in New York City by Wojcik / Seay Casting.
