Palm Beach Opera Announces Programs with The Lord's Place
Palm Beach Opera is proud to announce a new collaboration with The Lord's Place, a local leader aimed at eradicating homelessness in Palm Beach County. Palm Beach Opera will bring both its ANIMA program and Story Time Series to The Lord's Place family campus in West Palm Beach this fall.
Story Time Series makes opera masterpieces come alive for children ages PreK - 5, as they are brought into the pages of opera's famous tales, learning and singing memorable tunes from the score. Participants are introduced to additional elements of opera including the role of the conductor, the purpose of stretching and warm ups, and how to thank their audience. The program will take place on Saturday, October 7 at 11 am.
ANIMA brings opera to people who may otherwise be unable to experience the art form in the theatre, so that their lives can be animated and their spirits uplifted. Unlike traditional community concert programs, ANIMA focuses on the heart of opera, exploring why each artist sings and uncovering their personal connections to the art form. This program will take place on Monday, November 20 at 2 pm.
