The Cornell Art Museum will be glowing during Delray's First Friday Art Walk on July 1st! Art Walk, 6 - 9 p.m.

The Museum's Art Walk Gallery will be open with the third annual Extraordinary 6x6 Art Exhibit, featuring over 250 6x6-inch artworks donated by fine artists, instructors, art enthusiasts and past exhibit contributing artists from Florida and around country for a fundraising sale later in the month. The main exhibition galleries will also be open with the current exhibit, "Lit," featuring contemporary artwork by creatives working with light.

Light the Square, 8:30 p.m.

John (JD) DiDomenico, of Skyline Arts LLC, will conduct a live demonstration of how Old School Square's historic buildings, including the Cornell Art Museum and Crest Theatre, can be transformed into architectural jewels and active public spaces at night. Old School Square is in the process of seeking funding to acquire a lighting design package for the campus. The demonstration has been scheduled to give the community a glimpse into the future of what could happen to illuminate the Old School Square campus, thereby creating a beautiful and safe environment for the public to enjoy.

The Cornell Art Museum strives to show contemporary artists who create innovative and provocative works of art. Inquisitive visitors enjoy intriguing pieces of artwork while discovering new artists and styles. The Museum exposes the community to artwork that is culturally relevant and exciting, hoping to foster creativity and inspire imagination. Museum shows typically begin with a theme and blossom into dynamic group exhibitions that excite visitors from all backgrounds.

The Cornell Art Museum's Art Walk Gallery features month-long, pop-up exhibits of works by local artists. Each exhibit opens on the first Friday of the month as part of Delray's First Friday Art Walk event, an open house for the art galleries in downtown Delray Beach.
